Well! Well! Well! I try to gauge which is the most heart throbbing event these days, The Olympics, where Phelps, Holt, JingJing have become household names or is it the Cricbay Playoffs which is causing quite a Stir in the BAY AREA …… The playoffs have commenced and we already have a few upsets going to Platinum and Gold Pre-QFs and Silver QFs. Well these upsets are solely based on the rankings of the teams after both rounds, prior to the knockout bracket.

A tell-tale performance by Guna both with the ball and bat, and a supporting role by Rajesh with the bat and in the field saw HitNRun amble into the quarters. A splendid 42-run partnership between the duo made the win look so simple. I had done my homework well. An analyst, strategist or whatever you would like to call me, I knew that the team better with the ball would steal the show today. That's exactly how the match turned out to be.

Champs: Winners of BATA 6-a-side cup

Since our first year on the circuit in 2006, Champs have always tried to play with the right balance of fun and competitiveness that has given us not only a good cricket team but also great friends. The desire to be remembered in the league as formidable opponents as well as worthy winners is what keeps us motivated. We have come pretty close to the ultimate prize on a couple of occasions ending second best at the final hurdle - the 2006 Cricbay Platinum Championships and the 2007 BATA Cup finals.

YAHOOOO - Challengers CC enters Platinum Group!

WHEW!!!! AT LAST!!!! WE DID IT!!! NOW THE TOUGH GAMES ACTUALLY START!!! These were some of the phrases that were used by my team mates after we won the game against Hattrickers. We have atlast reached the platinum group. Everyone gave us only a slim chance of winning against the hattrickers.
